Dissertation Title: Emotional Disposition and Family Communication Patterns as Correlates of Antisocial Personality Disorder Among Incarcerated Youths Department of Educational Foundations Benue State University, Makurdi, Nigeria
Supervisors: Prof. B. O. Ker and Prof. S. A. Toranyiin I Self Funded Overview of my Thesis: Borne out of the zeal to draw out correlates of antisocial personality disorders whose preponderance has likely plagued the society of so many ills which start small but culminates into big time societal ills like thuggery, restive youths and perhaps the current wave of insurgencies and security challenges
across the world.
The study established some relationships between these three variables viz emotional disposition; family communication patterns and antisocial personality disorders. Using the path analytical model the study showed the crucial areas of relationship which implies that when these variables are regulated as appropriate the development of antisocial behaviour can be curtailed early enough to avert degeneration to behaviuor disorders.
